Jolting up and down in the little red wagon,
Jolting up and down in the little red wagon,
Jolting up and down in the little red wagon,
Won't you be my darling?

Now what's happened to the little red wagon?
Now what's happened to the little red wagon?
Now what's happened to the little red wagon?
Won't you be my darling?

One wheel's off and the axle's dragging.
One wheel's off and the axle's dragging.
One wheel's off and the axle's dragging.
Won't you be my darling?

Notes:

Described as 'American Singing Dance'. I remember this tune and song-structure from childhood as 'In and out the dusky bluebells/Won't you be my partner?'

Sounds like a varient of "one little, two little, 3 little indians" to me.

Yes it does, doesn't it? If I wasn't working through the entire contents of the booklet I would probably not have put this in because it seemed uninteresting, but it now looks like it might have a couple of transatlantic crossings at least as part of its history.

Checked it out Dave, you had the key as C rather than G. Have corrected it. Still I like what I suppose strictly speaking was a G mixolydian version better.

Thanks for checking and fixing it. I keep a copy here of everything I enter in case of any issues, so its always a good idea to let me know rather than just quietly fixing it.
