There came a man to our town,
To our town, to our town,
There came a man to our town,
His name was Aiken Drum.

And he played upon a ladle,
A ladle a ladle,
And he played upon a ladle
And his name was Aiken Drum.

His hat was made o' the guid roast beef ...

His coat was made o' the haggis bag ...

His buttons were made o' the baubeee baps ...

This version is from Scotland. The tune is different from the one we used to sing as children, which is closer to the version from Contemplator.

I learned it from Singing Together. I've a feeling it might have been this song that led to my conversation that ended up with me getting the ST pamphlets I have.
